Since quite a few of us keep playing group games of League of Legends within CMX, I have opted to condense the thread postings from me about LoL group games to just one thread at a time for 3 or more games each time. So I don't spam the forums :p
Also for those wondering why I don't record games or anything, it's because Fraps slows down games a lot. When I did a recording of L4D2 (and when I record the L4D2 group game we will play together) it was using the source recorder which hardly causes any performance changes in the game since it doesn't record video but instead simply a command log with all the positions of everything in the game and all actions and such. Then I use the build in Source recorder to record the playback of those commands and automatically put that to AVI.
LoL still does not have an automatic playback or anything of games like Starcraft 2 does. So until they do, I can't record a group game of LoL.
As for timed screenshots... well I usually simply forget and on LoL it also does cause a slight performance dip each time it takes a screenshot which can be deadly in LoL since any slight lag or FPS lag can often cause you to die, even if only for a few seconds or at the very least cause you to be unable to kill an enemy or help your team.
In any case here is the first one:
It was me (InCole), Alien (Alien King) and Seb (Eseb) on a normal 5vs5 pre-made game.
First of all this screenshot was taken by Alien since I closed mine before I remembered to take a screenshot to post in group games
Sadly I waited too long to make this battle report and thus don't remember the exact game anymore, the screenshot is pretty self explanetory by now since I have explained what everything means already on the other LoL battle reports. So hopefully the score shot is enough for now
This next game was today and I took both this screenshot and the next one:
It was me (InCole) and Seb (Eseb). On a 5vs5 normal pre-made.
This was quite the fun game. It started off pretty good in the beginning, I (as Yi) took top lane with Tryndamere (coruption). Seb (as Ashe) took mid and Annie (marCH1LL) and Shaco (HANFred) took bottom lane.
In mid seb faced Nidalee (Schweinegrippe) while in top lane we faced Katarina (Agrav) and Veigar (LaviHUN). Then bottom lane had Kassadin (Artemidor) and Pantheon (Der Duke).
Before the minions spawned both top and bottom lane scouted the bush. While waiting there me and Tryndamere immediately got first blood and another kill. In bottom lane they fought a bit but neither got any kills.
It didn't take long for bottom lane to get a kill on Pantheon then once minions started coming. While in mid neither Seb nor Nidalee could kill each other yet. Once Katarina and Veigar were back for a while it didn't take us long again to get another kill on them, taking out Veigar. While Veigar was respawning we also managed to kill Katarina before Veigar could come back. We quickly tried to push the tower a bit but I saw the teleport effect from Veigar coming onto the tower so I quickly ran back out of tower range while Tryndamere didn't notice it in time and got killed by Veigar with a lot of help from the tower (Veigar put his stun field around Tryndamere preventing him from getting out of tower range and stunning him once he had touched the stun field wall).
A little later just as Trynd was on his way back I managed to kill Veigar again just before Kata came back from jungle-ing.
Now the fun time could start, Seb was now already above level 6 when I just hit level 6 (for those that don't play LoL, the mid lane, solo player gets double the experience that the other lanes get as he is playing alone this is also why the mid player must at all costs not feed the enemy teams or die a lot and thus be a skilled enough player. As you can see seb only died 1 time the entire game and that was in a group fight, meaning he succeeded fully in doing what the mid player should do). So I decided to leave tryndamere alone for a while so I could jungle and get the lizard buff (slows enemies on hit). Once I went back and then jungled the lesser creeps a bit more I was ready to gank Nidalee with Seb. I pinged Nidalee, seb shot his ulti (a frost arrow that stuns any players it hits) after which I immediately moved to engage. Within no time Nidalee was dead, though sadly during this time Tryndamere died as he kept solo attacking while both Kata and Veigar were there and even when he tried to do a solo attack on just one of them later he failed entirely and kept dying in this way
Since top lane was still good (despite Trynd dying a lot), I decided to gank bottom. Before I could get there though Shaco and Annie already managed to get them both down to low life and kill Kassadin. I quickly moved around to go along the top route to the first tower in bottom lane. Peaked out and saw Pantheon trying to recall back to base I quickly used Alpha Strike on him killing him and ghosted out of tower range. Then noticed Nidalee was getting close to killing Seb in mid so I quickly continued to run as long as I could with my ghost still up to mid lane and arrived just in time to help Seb kill Nidalee.
After some kills and such for both me and seb the rest of our team was starting to get both more kills and more deaths due to doing stupid stuff. This caused the pushing phase to be quite a bit harder than it could have been. Once I left one lane to gank someone or get buffs or whatnot. The enemy with just 2 players or more. Would push that lane and trick the others except for Seb (he was too smart for that
) to follow them out away from tower range and then slaughter them.As such we lost top, bottom and mid towers. Tryndamere then backdoored (going without a minion wave) the first top tower, dying in the process by Kata. While me and Seb took out mid tower. Then I was able to push bottom lane too and take out bottom tower with Annie and Shaco while Seb defended mid and while Tryndamere pushed top lane.
After this while Trynd pushed top lane more, the rest of us all pushed mid, gaining some more kills and taking out their tower a while later we managed to push more and while everyone was pushing mid I quickly got the 2nd top tower and got the fk out (all enemies were coming to get me
). This allowed our team to get mid tower and eventually the inhibitor.We then eventually managed to get one more inhibitor and finished the game.
The next game:
Luny (Lunehz) joined me and Seb for this game
I took Yi again and went bottom lane with Lunehz as Ryze. Seb went mid again as Ashe. Then in top lane we had MudBucket (as Morgana) and trivio (as veigar).
In mid Seb had to face off against Kennen (kalinka1234). In bottom lane me and Luny had to face off against Yi (aliburhan) and poppy (DaemonicBoom). In top lane that left them to face off against Morgana (Carlos...) and Mordekaizer (Dalsadoom)
Since there was no way we could have possibly gotten first blood on them, more likely they would have owned us, I said in chat not to scout. As such we all waited for minions to spawn. Once the minions spawned me and luny moved forward with our wave, though we knew poppy and yi were likely waiting for us in the bushes.
Amazingly enough they weren't and we had a bit of a sea-saw action in bottom lane while we kept seeing the top lane player dying from our team and seb eventually died too as he was not used to playing against Kennen.
Eventually Yi and Poppy tried to make a go on Luny but instead ended up failing and giving me a kill on Yi while Poppy just barely got away (one more hit and he would have died). Overtime nothing much special happened while I was waiting to become level 6... top lane just kept feeding the enemies while Seb got his 3rd death to Kennen. Kennen also ganked top lane while I just became level 6 and did my jungle routine. Though sadly I saw Luny needed help so I came back down to bottom lane with the buff I needed to gank Kennen (Lizard buff). Luny did a suicide run on the enemies, I still managed to kill Yi after they killed Luny, though Poppy sadly killed me.
This also meant that I couldn't come gank Kennen yet. Though eventually my Exhaust was back so I decided to go ahead and try to gank Kennen without Lizard buff. Luckily Seb had his ulti ready and we managed to kill Kennen which brought me a nice 500 gold bonus for his killstreak he had.
The game still was not looking very positive at the time, our team had a grand total of 10 kills of which 9 were mine while the enemy team had 21 kills. We also lost all 3 first towers while only having one of their towers down.
It was at this point that we had the first leaver of the game, the enemy Poppy. Shortly after this the enemy team managed to get our second tower in bottom lane and our veigar died in a failed defence of it. Though I did manage to kill 2 of their team before another one killed me (this also saved our 3rd and last tower in top lane and brought me a bonus of 1000 gold). At this point we had our second leaver, this time Veigar from our team.
We then pushed mid lane, taking out their 2nd tower in mid. While the rest of our team and seb held mid and kept pushing it slowly to their last mid tower, me and Luny went to take out some enemies trying to push bottom lane, after killing two of them while one got away, we quickly pushed that lane some more and took out another tower. We then tried to push on but were unable to due to some enemies defending it. As such we both went back. Then while everyone else was at mid slowly taking out their last tower there I quickly pushed bottom lane and managed to take out two towers before the enemy could come. This also allowed our team to take out their last tower before everyone except for Seb died.
I defended while waiting for everyone to respawn. Once we had all respawned me and seb took out two more enemies and eventually with our entire team we took out all the enemies. We then pushed on, taking out their last inhibitor. Killing all 4 enemies again and then quickly took out the last two towers and their inhibitor
