Shocking, but in their defense I could see how they mistook the equipment for guns. The guy in the back at 3:46 is swinging an object that looks very similar to a weapon. But I think this was a case of wanting to see guns.. so they believed they saw them, too.

The thing is I'm not sure they're allowed to shoot even if they have guns. Just because someone has a weapon doesn't mean he's an insurgent. Amurricans should know this better than anyone with 90 weapons for every 100 people.

Seb, why do you hate America so much?
You have some Eurotrash elitist view on shit.
No, no, I know, Ireland is the bee's knees.
AND
Yes, that was stupid, and yes it was an innocent cameraman, but you can't relate a military judgment on a whole country.
It's not that you say this stuff about the US, it's more that you actually BELIEVE it.
RAILWORKS DLC FTW.

it's called collateral damage first of all...

it is war and normally stuff like this is not such a big issue but a) why were these people hanging out with terrorists with guns???

and b) in all previous wars the enemy was very easy to spot, as it used to always be soldiers in uniforms, be it the Soviet Union, the Nazis, etc... all of those fights between different nations happened between armed soldiers in uniforms (and citizen rebel squads helped of course) but this is one of the first wars where the enemy is dressed like a civilian and uses suicide bombing tactics and even often uses women and children to prevent the US army from opening fire.

So seriously if you go to war you can't expect the soldiers to have a magical wand and see the difference between civilians hanging out with armed terrorists and unarmed terrorists hanging out with armed terrorists...

It was the government's choice to go to war in Iraq without an exit strategy and without any long term plan, just roll in blow the shit out of everything and then get stuck there while both Iraqi citizens and American soldiers keep getting killed...

So anyone who watches this video and is like omg how dare those soldiers shoot unarmed civilians hanging out with armed terrorists... Needs to really rethink their logic, the soldiers are just the tool to go to war, it is the government who placed them there that should be held responsible for anything that happens there.

The only time you can say omg how dare they, is if the soldiers do something that is obviously not within protocol and that they obviously should not have done, in that scenario it was all by the books and correct so nothing "bad" happened in that video. All that happened in that video was war, so hey folks you just watched war happen! I hope you all enjoyed it!

Actually, it isn't. Ireland is pretty poopy.

You can't just shoot someone based on a hunch. Even at ground-level soldiers return fire, not just shoot at everyone they think is an insurgent. That's what the rules of engagement are about. What they did in that vid was look at the guys holding cameras and assumed they were holding guns so they said "yeehawr let's kill the whole lot of them, y'all!".

Also, see this vid, it has a funny view on the situation :P

they are allowed to shoot at people holding weapons...

You are thinking of Peace keeping troops... their rules of engagement is that they may only shoot once fired upon

But when a country goes to war on another then the rules of engagement are entirely different, as such in Iraq they are allowed to shoot at anyone carying a weapon

This video shows war, just like it is, has always been and will allways remain....

Welcome to the world of war Seb.
Humanity is evil, so in many ways, what is another dead human to the world?
You would probably do the same.
I like how humans think that they would do any differently...of course those humans do believe in God and can't accept any fate.

Only if his relative dies in a war can you say that... as that is what Bucker was talking about i think...

Go ahead Ilke. That's how I feel about it. If you expect much from humans, you are looking in the wrong place.
